Apple retained its top rank in profitability and regained the top spot in mobile phone revenues.

Apple は、モバイルフォン･ビジネスにおける収益性で、そのトップの座を維持し、また、総売上におけるトップも取り戻した。

Apple の利益／売上／台数だけを時系列に並べると、以下のようになる：

Apple reached 75% of profit share, nearly 40% of revenue share and 9% of units share.

モバイルフォン市場全体に対して、Apple の利益は 75%、売上は 40％、台数は 9％となる。

Apple and Samsung combined for about 91% of profits with RIM third at 3.7%, HTC fourth at 3.0% and Nokia last at 1.8% of a $15 billion total for the quarter.

この四半期（2011 の Q4）の利益総額である $15 billionに対して、Apple と Samsung の合計は約 91% に達し、3番手に RIM の 3.7％、4番手に HTC の 3.0％、5番手に Nokia の 1.8％が続く。

In terms of revenues, Apple had 39% to Samsung’s 25%. Third was Nokia with 12.6% and fourth RIM at 8%. HTC only managed 5.5%, Motorola 4%, LG 3.3% and Sony Ericsson 2.7%.

売上に関しては、Apple は 39% で、Samsung は 25％である。 3番手のは Nokia の 12.6% で、4番手の RIM は 8％。そして、HTC は 5.5％、Motorola は 4％、LG は 3.3％、Sony Ericsson は 2.7％と続いている。

なんと、まあ！・・・という Apple の強さですね。しかし、栄華盛衰とはよく言ったもので、こうした数字は一瞬にしてひっくり返るものなのです。ですから、油断は大敵ですよ～～～。そして、忘れてはならないのは、このチャートには登場しない Google が、すでに Android からの広告収益を上げている点と、Facebook や Twitter などが、新しい収益源をモバイルに見つけ出そうとしている点です。ーーー __AC Stamp 2
