行きたかったなぁ～～～ という人も多いのではないかと思いますが、Web 2.0 Expo SF 2010 のビデオが公開され始めました。 何かキーワードかというと、Internet Operating System らしいです。 また、TechCrunch も ” Tim O’Reilly: Steve Jobs Is Trying To Build A Fundamental Challenge To The Web – by Jason Kincaid on May 6, 2010 ” という速報を掲載しています。 そこからの抜粋ですが、O’Reilly は Apple に対して、｢Web の根本に対抗して世界征服を狙っているようだが失敗する｣ と言っているようです。 ただ、ビデオを見る限り、そんな過激な発言は聞き取れませんでした。 ーーー A.C.

Apple, he says, “has a vision of world domination”, and that with the App Store platform Steve Jobs is trying to build a fundamental challenge to the web. But it falls short in one key area: O’Reilly believes that Apple doesn’t understand the importance of web-based services, as evidenced by its decision to make its (somewhat lackluster) MobileMe service premium, with little in the way of a social graph.

そして、Adobe の Kevin Lynch の対談も面白いです。 もう一方の渦中の人という感じですが、拍手を浴びていた点が印象に残ります。 話の中で触れている Open Screen Project とは、以下の ORG です。調べたところ、Adobe が提唱者で、Apple と Microsoft 以外のキープレイヤーは参加しているように見えます。

この 4本のビデオを見た限りでは（あくまでも雰囲気ですが）、Web ベースのサービスをモバイル･デバイスで共有し、ユーザーにとってメリットのある形にするには、どうしたら良いのだろう？ ･･･ という Web 2.0 Expo SF 2010 だったように思えます。 ーーー A.C.
